Irrespective of what it was called, and independently of people even knowing they were doing it, MCR has been with us for many many years.
How did Mass Control Recruiting get it's start? Largely by accident. First, a definition is in order. I define any sort of Mass Control recruiting as that which takes place "en masse" after a suitable build up of buzz or pent-up demand has transpired (just like Internet Marketing Mass Control tactics). The classic example of which is when a networking company announces that it is about to open for business in a new country, yet is not yet ready to do so for legal or logistical reasons (or both, usually). Distributors from the "home" country or the more mature countries (ones that have been around the longest) FLOCK to the new country and begin recruiting people "en masse" in advance of the official sign-up process, and OUTSIDE OF SAID PROCESS. Recall my discussion of RTC - "recruit to container" ? Well, this is PRECISELY what is at work in MCR in a foreign country (foreign to the original home HQ country) - a container or "holding" mechanism must be somehow established to keep track of who belongs to whom prior to that country going "live" - the day or week that the doors open, all of the people already "in" as a result of the MCR activities sign up en masse - in some cases, tens of thousands daily until the "pre-launch" distributors have all been absorbed into the actual company databases and "normal operations" begin - ie. operation within the legal and official company framework.
So what does this have to do with anything? Well, for a short while now, quietly, with very little fanfare, a few really advanced distributors have begun practicing MCR in EVERY COUNTRY they do business in, and with spectacular results (there really is very little difference from the foreign opening - as long as a suitable "buzz" can be built, it works) Why would ANYONE want to go through the painful process of recruiting an organization one or two per month or week, when, with the proper tactical maneuvers and deploying MCR concepts, they could turn that into HUNDREDS or even THOUSANDS in the same period? Beats me! Personally, I prefer HYPERGROWTH to the slow and steady drip-drip that is so common in the industry. It's MUCH MUCH more fun (and psychologically, it CLOBBERS the old recruiting methods every time, as long as it's done properly.
