Forum threads carry specific gravity just like a clickbank product does.
It's just that there aren't any ratings systems for them.
First, what am I talking about? Think about it. If you start a thread and nobody shows up, how much gravity does it have? Zero. Zilch. Nada.
But if some huge marketing muckety-muck starts one, and half his "homies" chime in with their 2 pennies worth of commentary and a dozen OTHER marketers join the fun, NOW the thread has some serious gravity.
So, ask yourself, which thread would you rather insert YOUR little post into? the empty thread or the heavyweight? Well, DUH! Not only will the huge-gravity thread end up getting more eyeballs, but it will get eyeballs with a higher specific gravity - meaning prospective Joint Venture partners, possibly getting your post or ideas noticed by someone in the thread or someone just following those who are posting in the thread (people do that, you know - follow so-called "gurus" around like puppies!!)
It's just another thing to consider in your forum travels. Go where the gravity is.
